Glossary of Key Terms

Evaluation (Basic/Basic Plus): The challenge phase before getting a funded account. Must hit the profit target while respecting drawdown and consistency rules.

Funded / PRO account: The live account you receive after passing evaluation, tied to the same 90/10 profit split.

Instant PRO: A funded-style account with no evaluation phase, higher consistency requirement (20%) and qualifying-day count (8) than PRO.

Consistency Rule: Caps how much of your total profit can come from a single day, to prevent one lucky trade from carrying the whole result. 40% (Basic eval), 35% (PRO funded), 20% (Instant PRO).

Qualifying trading day: A day that counts toward your payout cycle (minimum activity and profit per day, see Payout Eligibility Requirements). 6 needed for PRO, 8 for Instant PRO.

Drawdown: The maximum loss allowed from your account's high-water mark before the account is breached. See the Drawdown Rule article for your account type's specific limit.

KYC (Know Your Customer): Identity verification via Veriff, required before a passed evaluation converts to a funded account. Takes about 10 minutes.

Rise: Our payout processor. Your Rise account email must match your Shark Futures account email to receive payouts.

Profit split: The percentage of payout profit you keep versus Shark Futures. Currently 90/10 in the trader's favor across all account types.
